Collection Oud

Amber Oud:
Part of the ‘French-Oriental’ group, this new genre weds the signature chords of two perfumes: mythic amber associating labdanum and vanilla, enriched by resin and hot spices to answer the voluptuous audacity of the oud note. Top notes of aromatic lavender, artemisia and thyme contrast with this warm and sensual long-lasting, lingering spell.

Incense Oud:
This is the fragrance of the Arabian Nights with its exceptional chord based on the most literal Oman incense, smoky and penetrating as if wafting through the churches of yesteryear, and Cambodian oud. The soaring of artemisia and coriander breathes freshness on an ample fruity liquor note which is warmed by the woody middle note – oud but with cedar and patchouli. The leathery animal base notes prolong the hypnotic effect of wood and incense.

Rose Oud
In this ‘French-Oriental’ classic, the opulent red rose is chosen for its spicy, fruity accents. Its response to the woody animal facets of the oud note leaves a chypre effect. This marriage propels the queen of flowers beyond the beaten path and its usual romantic image.

Born into the legendary Guerlain Family in Paris, perfumer Patricia de Nicolai represents the 4th generation to carry on the family profession and legacy of artistic perfume creation. Surrounded by beautiful aromas and rare raw materials as a child, she immersed herself in fragrance, later studying chemistry and attending the prestigious ISIPCA Perfumery School in Versailles. In 1989 Patricia and her husband Jean-Louis Michau opened their first shop, NICOLAI Parfumeur-Createur, with the mission to emphasize for the perfumer complete freedom in their creative choices and to use the finest quality ingredients.

With the addition of Patricia’s son Axel joining the team, Parfums de Nicolai has flourished as one of the jewels of the independent French perfume industry and today they have eight boutiques across Paris. All the fragrances are entirely created by Patricia in the small laboratory that can be seen by visitors to the shop at 28 Rue de Richelieu near the Louvre, and Patricia delights in showing perfume enthusiasts what happens ‘behind the scenes’. Patricia de Nicolai’s personal imprint as a creator is identifiable and compelling, known for her mix of originality, elegance, and ‘Le luxe a la Francaise’. Her signature perfume, New York, has been called one of the greatest fragrances in history by fragrance experts across the globe.

When these items ship by air Internationally, they must be shipped by specific, approved carriers such as FedEx and UPS. The charge is often in excess of $180, not the cost listed in our Shopping Cart.

Brokerage and other fees may apply once the package reaches the destination country. Beautyhabit has no control over these fees, and they are in addition to the shipping cost at origination.

Some countries are not approved for Dangerous Goods Shipments. If your country is not approved, you will be notified by email. We do not ship Dangerous Goods to Canada because the duties/taxes are prohibitive.
