Dark chocolate with candied pecans soaked in bourbon, maple syrup & a dash of orange. This unique bar captures one of their favorite aspects of the holiday season; pie! Or to be more specific, their favorite - Orange Bourbon Pecan Pie! For this holiday bar, bourbon soaked pecans are candied with maple syrup & orange and paired with their 65% Belize dark chocolate. The resulting bar is warm and zesty with a hint of bourbon, and just the right amount of crunch.

By using some of the best cacao in the world, Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate is able to eliminate the use of fillers in their chocolate (like cocoa butter, soy lecithin or vanilla), which lets the true flavors of the cacao shine through.

Using the finest cacao and traditional European techniques, all of their chocolate is carefully crafted from the bean in their small factory in northern California.

Adam Dick and Dustin Taylor became fascinated with the idea of reinventing the chocolate experience. In 2010 they bought some small-scale equipment and began making chocolate.

The most hands-on approach they could take was to start with raw cacao. They then sourced the finest fair-trade cacao and turned the raw ingredients into delicious chocolate in their small factory in Eureka, California. The entire process takes about three weeks, but allows them to make some of the finest chocolate possible. Using organic cacao and cane sugar and not cutting corners in their processes, they are able to leave out vanilla, additional cocoa butter and other emulsifiers in hopes of capturing and highlighting the subtle flavor nuances in the cacao they source from around the world.

Adam and Dustin hope everyone gets as much enjoyment eating their chocolate as they do making it.
