Seak

Seak is an MIT-based startup bringing Southeast Asian artisans to the global stage. They curate artisanal brands from Thailand and the Philippines that align with their values: small-batch, eco-material, handmade, women-owned. Seak's founders, Nicha (Thai) and Gabby (Filipino), both grew up in Southeast Asia. They love the thrill of finding a hidden gem in local markets: whether it’s a high-quality rattan dresser or a woven raffia placemat, they know that Southeast Asian products have excellent craftsmanship at great prices. When they met at MIT, they started discussing these issues and how they can bring Southeast Asian brands to the global stage through technology.
